Update for 2012

Wow, I am the worlds worst blogger. That being said, here are some updated images for 2012, and I re-commit to do a better job blogging and keeping updates on here. I am very exited for the “greening up” of the spring, so that we can get some fun family photos going. Being a photographer, I have done a terrible job photographing my OWN twins! So that too will be a resolve. Now, enough rambling and on to the photos….

Serving at the Jesus House

This past Saturday found RED Team members Terra and Kiley, along with some of our friends serving meals to the homeless at the Jesus House. The Jesus House has been around in OKC since 1965, located just west of downtown Oklahoma City. The Jesus House serves the homeless, needy, mentally ill, drug and alcohol addiction, and disaster victims, housing approximately 65 residents at any given time. We had the honor of serving food to residents and non-residents alike on Saturday, meeting some awesome people along the way. Jeff is the “kitchen manager” and expressed gratitude and thanks for the help. I know personally, I got way more out of this experience than those we were serving did. My husband Brad worked the door of the dining room, and was able to speak with people and just give a smile, even telling a few jokes and getting some laughs along the way. Kileys boyfriend Blake washed dish after dish, and plate after plate, smiling the entire time.

I know around Thanksgiving and Christmas its easy to be thankful for what we have, what we have been blessed with, but I know I am going to make it a priority on my list to look for, and seek out more opportunities to serve others in 2012.

Hannah’s 8 Month Photos

Hannah is already 8 months old (probably 9 by now) and we had a shoot scheduled on the 4th of May, however as they were pulling in, I got the call that Terra was in labor with our twins, so a few weeks after, we were able to meet up at the newly re-opened Myriad Gardens, in downtown OKC, and we had a great shoot. Hannah is really something, and her big blue eyes are awesome. Here are some of our favorites from the day.

Harriet’s Bridal Session

I posted about a cold bridal session, well Harriet is now married and these are some of the amazing images we came away with from that session. Again, it was freezing cold and Harriet was a trooper. What do you think!

Jett and Jagger

The Twins are here! Jett and Jagger are home and doing great, Jett weighs 8-9 and his brother Jagger weighs 7-2. Jett is still on some oxygen but is doing great.

Amazing Bridal Session

Sunday was cold and the wind was blowing out of the North at 20-30mph. Not a “perfect” day for a bridal shoot. With a willing bride to be, we braved the cold and had one of the most fun, relaxed, and amazing shoots I have been a part of in a long time. Harriet was so fun, shivering from the cold, she smiled till her face was frozen, so we stuck her in the Tahoe and warmed her up, so we could do it all over again! With just 45 minutes of light left, we made a move to a field, and the light was amazing, and we captured some really cool photographs. I know, not showing you the photos is kind of like “teasing” you, however, as soon as the wedding takes place in March, you will love these images.

Hannah Prugh 4 Months

Hannah turned 4 months and we were able to do her photos on Sunday afternoon. We had a really good shoot, Hannah smiled the entire time and looked adorable doing so. What do you think?

2010 Review

2010 was a great year for Brad Myers Photography, and we are looking forward to another great year in 2011. I was backing up images for the year and pulled some of my favorites out for you to enjoy. If you didn’t make the blog post, it just means you were already “archived” but not lost!

Twins on the way!

I am glad to announce that Terra and I are expecting TWINS! We are due in June and couldn’t be more excited! I will be posting updates and photos along the way, so enjoy and check in often for more on this journey.
